Biography

Stacie Joined Dancepointe and dACADEMY in July 2022.

She is currently enrolled in the Masters of Education in (Dance Teaching) by the Royal Academy of Dance, validated by the United Kingdom’s University of Bath, and will complete the program in September 2026. She graduated from Singapore’s LASALLE College of the Arts Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Dance in April 2019 having acquired a Diploma in Dance in 2014 as a recipient of the LASALLE Scholarship for the academic year 2013/14. She has completed her RAD Advanced 1 with Distinction. Trained in Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz, but has picked up hip-hop, basic tap, and salsa alongside.

She is currently the Resident Dance Instructor at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Secondary)

and has sent the students to several competitions and school performances, choreographed for the 2021 and 2023 Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation.

She Is also a Dance Artist under The Presence Project led by Dr. Peter Gn (SG)
Conducted Contemporary Technique Training and choreography in 2021
Performed in Fluid Entities 2023, Trinity Laban Music and Dance Conservatoire Summer School 2023, Amplified! DanceLab23: Youth Leadership Camp

She actively performs and choreographs for The Kueh Tutus led by Melissa Quek (SG)
Performed in venues such as Esplanade’s Octoburst Childrens’ Festival and The Artground at Goodman Arts Centre Indian Heritage Centre for their children’s festival, Enchanted Forest, NAC’S Got to Move Assisting in a Community engagement movement workshop organized by Esplanade

In platforms such as Esplanade’s Annual Dans Festival, and T.H.E CONTACT Dance Festival Worked with International Company, Vision of the Dance, under the tutelage of Mathias Martiz from Barcelona.

She devoted her semester breaks and actively performed in student choreographies and participated in community works such as MindBath organised by LASALLE Arts Management Students
as well as Displacement, a community collaborative work with NAFA Dance students.

Professional Dance Company Experience:

She joined the Professional dance company Re:dance Theatre as an Apprentice Dancer in June 2014 working with duo Aaron and Ix, passoverdance
Performed for the Exxonmobil Campus Concert by Dapheny Chen and in CO:LAB 2015 by Rachel Lum. She has also traveled to Taiwan with the Company to tour their works. In Differ 3, She danced in Chien Hua Bao (Taiwan) and Albert Tiong.
