CLASSES AT dACADEMY

Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD)

World-famous choreographer Jason Winters has collaborated with CSTD on this new comprehensive Contemporary Technique syllabus. Its technique and structure is designed in the most classical and academic way and infused with choreographic electricity used in today’s most commercial settings.

With its building blocks in Graham Technique, Horton Technique, Ballet and Jazz, it combines a sense of movement, flow, energy, and breath that has been developed over years of exploration.

National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD)

The National Association of Teachers of Dance is the only awarding organisation to offer a graded syllabus.

The NATD syllabus relates to the work of three pioneering choreographers of our time , Martha Graham , Merce Cunningham and Jose Limon. It employs contact work between dancers, release technique, fall and recovery, floorwork and improvisation, creative freedom and provides an excellent basic knowledge for pupils , that can take them confidently as dancers to a degree level standard, or support their understanding of choreography required in today's dance work place.
