Biography
A Movement Artist, Choreographer, Interdisciplinary Collaborator and an Educator, Goh Shou Yi’s curiosity has empowered him to embrace a multitude of roles. Fascinated by the relationship between the body and society, Shou Yi is fervently driven to explore this profound relationship through a multifaceted lens.

Shou Yi has collaborated with both local and international artists to create and present dance works on platforms like the Seoul Performing Arts Festival, M1 Contact Contemporary Dance Festival, New Dance for Asia (NDA) International Dance Festival, Gothenburg Fringe Festival, and The Human Expression (T.H.E.) Dance Company’s choreographic platforms liTHE and New Vision.
Beyond his dance work, Shou Yi has expanded his practice into theatre and interdisciplinary arts, contributing as a choreographer and movement director for numerous distinguished productions and arts festivals. His collaborative efforts span respected theatre companies like Drama Box, The Necessary Stage, and Toy Factory, as well as major festivals, including the Singapore International Festival of the Arts and M1 Fringe Festival. Through these projects, he works closely with artists and students alike, continually pushing the boundaries of movement and performance.

Most recently, Shou Yi collaborated with established artists Tan Ngiap Heng and Zhuo Zihao on a film titled Bedtime. His latest work, The Silence of All Things, is a collaboration with the Siong Leng Musical Association and director Liu Xiao Yi (Emergency Stairs).
In addition to his independent projects, Shou Yi serves as a Dance Lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), part of the University of the Arts Singapore (UAS).​​
