Ms Sandra Leong started her dance training at the age of 4 under Ms Lena Foo, Sandra was exposed to ballet syllabus such as Royal Academy of Dance RAD and Jazz syllabus from Australia Teaching of Dance (ATOD).
In her teens, Sandra showed interest in Performing, She performed various genres in different platforms. She has participated in Dancepointe Academy annual performances such as Nutcracker in the year 2011 and Alice in Wonderland in 2013. Sandra has also taken part in CSTD Competitions; she competed in Singapore CSTD competition from the year 2011 to 2014 and Perth Australia CSTD in the year 2013.
At the age of eighteen, she decided to pursue full-time dance education at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore) majoring in Dance Composition. In her years in NAFA, she had the opportunity to perform for her senior’s final year project which showcases their work in productions such as Crossings and Dancers@Work. Sandra was also given the opportunity to perform in NAFA’s Production, Crossings from 2 conservative years working with Choreographers such as Nirmala Seshadri, Kevin Wynn (United States of America), Lee Mun Wai and Ezekiel Oliveria. In her final year, Sandra was chosen to do her attachment with John Mead Dance Company and performed in their Production “Walking on Air” and had an opportunity to showcase her choreography work in Dancers@Work. As a Alumni of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Sandra was invited to choreograph NAFA annual production “Third Space” which showed case in Esplanade.
